Halo fitting day

Today was the second biggest of Sarah's big days. She had tohave the fitting of her external head and neck brace, known as a 'halo', whichstabilises everything prior to and for the surgery. This is a tricky procedurewhich Sarah had not been looking forward to as it involves drilling into herskull in four places whilst she remains fully conscious in order to givevaluable feedback and ensure safety as the doctors position thingscorrectly.
Sarah's faced this with incredible bravery, strengthened I'm sure by the prayers and good wishes of her family and friends. I am happy to say she is out the other side, and David posted a great selfie of them both on her Facebook page this afternoon.
Sarah will spend tomorrow recovering and being prepared for her three-stage surgical procedure on Thursday which will begin at 8am.

I hope it's not too uncomfortable. I was dreading this for you cos it's not going to be terribly comfortable but at least your fragile neck is more stable = safer. There's just £755 to go to jackpot! Hopefully you will get enough for your new powerchair too. Xxxx
